I have always liked this model when I have seen it and decided to pick this one up even though it is missing the crown. The sapphire stones are in decent shape and the case overall is also pretty nice with only minor scratches. The stones are the same as the Miss America but in the Miss Liberty shape case. We found an ad for the reverse, Miss liberty stones in a Miss America case but I do not believe we have found an ad for this configuration.
Dear Kathy, the watch is unknown. Indeed, as you mention, in 1929 Bulova introduced the 6 triangle stones version in two shapes while advertising only one as Miss Liberty. One year later, they repeated the same, this time with 4 dagger stones. Available in the same two case shapes with this time only the tonneau version advertised as Miss America. I call them the “hybrids”.
