Watch Description

I picked this one up oddly enough for the sterling silver clasp it came with.  The taupe silk band and silver clasp look like they were original to the watch.  The watch was one of the dirtiest watches I have gotten but both the watch and clasp cleaned up nicely.  I installed a NOS band that happened to be the same color as the original which was kind of neat.

After looking at the other watches in the DB I am guessing this is a 153 or Corrine and year 1926.  The dating like most in this era looks complicated so will be happy to change if Alex suggest otherwise.  The ad I am attaching here is from Fort_Worth_Record_Telegram_1924_12_14_page_69 has both names and the watch above it has 156/Minerva so I am wondering if 1924 was a changeover year for the name?

It has a Bulova Quality Filled American Standard case.  A 15 jewel 10A movement with a 1926 date code.  Happily it seems to be working which was a surprise with how dirty the watch was I didn't hold out any hope that it would work.  Look forward to hearing your thoughts on this one.

I'm all in for 1926 Bulova Corrine. You sure did a nice job cleaning her up Kathy, that strap is perfect.

Agree, A very nice example of a 153 that was later assigned a name.

1926 Bulova Corrine.

It's becoming harder and harder to find nice original silk bands from this time period.

Yes I was lucky to find a box of NOS ribbons, not cheap but I liked that they would make correct time period bands.
