Watch Description

18k Gold mesh watch band. Water Tite is written on the back as well as Anti magnetic. Watch is in great condition, except the gold band is a little kinked. The watch winds itself with the wearer's arm movement.

Welcome to myBulova and thank you for sharing your watch with us.  The band is most likely a replacement band, I believe your watch is gold filled and a gold filled expansion band would have been used originally.  1955-57 linebook

That is what I was told by my grandfather whose watch it was. To be honest, I know very little about this timepiece, which is why I joined the forum. I welcome any information you may have about its function and history.

I'm not 100% sure, Lonny, but Bulova usually put "self-winding" on the dial or the case back on watches with that function. I think you will have to manually wind this one.
