Hello,
I am working on a 11AC with a bad hairspring. I have a donor movement with a good balance assembly. Will it be out of beat with a different balance or are they pretty close in matching?

If it is exactly the same movt, from the same period, it is designed to be interchangeable. It could still be out of beat because 99.9% of all vintage watches are, especially if they are unserviced. Hairsprings always need to be adjusted. I think I had one last year that didn't, out of maybe 450, and it was clearly mint.
