Does anyone know how to extract a gem from a vintage bulova watch?

Hi! Recently I have just bought a vintage Bulova Miss Liberty from the 1920s on ebay, but I would love to replace the stone, I am curious can I do that by myself? Or it has to be done by someone else?

I've never tried that but I suspect a qulaified jeweler would have the skills and tools to be able to remove or set a stone in place.

There are several YouTube videos on the process.  That being said I would have a jeweler do it.
