This appears to be a 1947 Bulova Ambassador. The case is 14KT Rose Gold Filled including the case back. The dial is copper with yellow gold applied gold even number hour markers. The movement is a 7AK 21 J with a square date code. This one is in really good condition. The photos don't give it justice.
I've always held the belief that 1947 was the cut over year, so something at the beginning to mid 47 would be non HE and something mid to late 47 would be an HE. When the exact cut over was I have no idea.
For me if it's a 46 movement in a 47 case that might suggest an earlier model and thus pre cut over.
So I'm in for a 1947 Bulova Ambassador "B"...sorry to be the odd one out.
