I bought this new in England from a retailer in Richmond, Surrey in June 1976, price £55. (Case back cover stamped N4 = 1974). Although now in need of some TLC, I am fond of this as it was the first 'quality' watch I bought. Currently the winder arbor is broken, but I have the winder. Inside the case back cover, are the following stampings: letter G inside a diamond; 7629 inside a rectangle; SWISS. I have never seen another of these and no trace on this website - any ideas on model please? (I have the original Bulova Guarantee Registration card but the retailer did not enter anything in the Model No. field). Great site, by the way - thanks for all the hard work no doubt involved! July 2015 update - final pic shows watch just back from restoration.

I noticed that too, but we have the original dial pictures (before redial) in the root record, so at least we can see Longchamp was there before redial.
If I remember correctly, International has one fee for "redial" which comes close to original, and another "exact" fee, which costs a little more. Maybe owner didn't go for the "exact" service?
Regarding the 'Longchamp' script, my restorer advised me that he couldn't access a resource to enable this. Initially I was disappointed, but, given the relatively spartan 'look' of this watch - which must have been a factor in my original liking for it - I now think the appearance has been enhanced by not having this bit of clutter on the dial. The liking I have in principle for originality and completeness is compromised, but the application of the Longchamp name was a fairly shalllow piece of marketing and didn't lend any extra cachet to the watch in my view.

Not to worry David, it's all good. One thing I might suggest.....if you are going to post a photo that you didn't take, it is polite to ask the owners permission. I know it seems over cautious but I've had my own photos show up in places I felt they did not belong.
