Been looking for one of these since you guys were posting them and I finally snagged one! Sweet etched dial with what looks to be sunflowers.
Would this be a "John M. Ballard" ?

Also these are the sellers pictures. I'll get my own when it gets here. Will take a bit of work to get it up and ticking... but I'm betting Mike it up to the challenge!
I too love these watches. They are beautifully crafted. Based on the case markings it seems it can be no earlier than 1919. The movement on the other hand is super interesting. Based on lisa info it is Pre 1923. But I see no letter our number stamp of any kind. Pieces this early usually would only have letter stamps. I have a"b" and one with a cursive j. But they are uniquely placed. Is there any such markings that I am not seeing? Beautiful watch glad one of us got it!!
3 tix for me.
These pre-april 1923 p/w's are either Phantoms or HM's, and I think the Phantoms were all white gold and slimline. Or platinum, of course!
I think it will be a year or two older though, as the first ad pronouncing the "new" HM is from April 1921, nothing by that name earlier.
The earlier p/w line is the Rubaiyat, first and only ad found so far is 1919, round and octagonal.
