The subject watch is a Senator "A" no matter what band it has on it...the difference between "A", "B", "C", & "D" is in the case design only, as bobbee has been trying to point out...the band does not make the variant, it only complements it.

As for the "Champion",  plain case would mean something pretty dull in comparison to the fancy cases on the above Senators, as the description reads, i.e. "Grooved edges"

Is the subject watch a Senator "A" ?, yes, does it match the ad?, no, so unless we add another rating system for 100% ad match, this argument will be done over and over and over...

Still 3 from me.

Good presentation and analysis of the ads for this watch from all!  With the ads and info on hand, the differences between A, B, C, and D appear to be case design.  I'm including dial variations between these watches in the "case design".  The "plain case" vs "grooved edges" diminishes my previous "reasonable doubt" to almost nil.  ...which is enough for me to change my vote from tentative 2 ticks to confirmed 3 ticks.

...although subject watch doesn't match the "expansion bracelet", there is not enough current info nor ads to indicate the same case design for this year is a different model (or different variant of same model) based on mount.

My vote is Senator "A". I must agree that the case, in this situation, is the defining factor of the designation "A".

JP with your and my vote, it looks like it's got eight votes for Senator A, and it also looks like seven of those eight are three ticks confirmed....that's what I gave it anyway.  In this instance, the band complements the watch...I like that wording...but doesn't define it to the variant the way we ID these instances. The case can't be confused with any other model for this time period band or not.  That's the important part for this call.
