Watch Description

I'm posting this one because it's a European Bulova, Swiss case and has different markings than what we normally see. They seem to use a decimal system, inside the case is 333.149, and on the back is "Bulova Swiss" and "1.28729". Movt stamped 'M0', case stamped 'M0'.  Casemaker is Maeder-Leschot, of Biel, Switzerland.

International in this instance is a brand of silverware, not a watch company.

So to digress from the actual watch but its important for us to understand what Bulova International was to help us understand the watch and where it fits in the Bulova Watch Company.

This article goes into some detail about Bulova International.

I vote to stay with the "International" designation.

Bulova 'International'

So the 'International' was a group, marketing various Bulova watches into new markets, I get that. They may have had their own models that differed from the main Bulova line.

Might I suggest "International Unknown"?

'UNKNOWN'

The Ambassador advert above is whats confussing me. Why is Bulova International selling to the American market?

From what I can tell Bulova International simply sold Bulova models to overseas markets.

We now have a few different models marked with the "international" stamp, so it they may still be a known Bulova model, just stamped with 'International' to indicate that is was sold outside of the US and Canada.

Hers's the others we have come across.

Bulova International, Bulova Watch Co. LTD are just a part of Bulova Watch Co. Inc outside of the US, they are the European & Canadian marketing HQ's, not a separate division like Accutron, Caravelle or at the time Benetton.
