Unsure of the 1944 date...

Nice
I think I'm seeing a circle date symbol on the movement below makers signture?  That would date movement to 1944.   Love that second hand.

Any chance we could get a photo of the inside case when its off?  The Star sig and other stuff would be interesting.
Please and thanks

A Bulova Military Issue watch. Maybe other members can comment of the originality of the watch.

Gosh, where is Wayne when we need him? Seems like he could always cough up the old MIL SPECs. My concern is that these are old movements in more modern cases. It seems to me that the heavy collar beneath the crown was a more late 50's early 60's design. I'm OK with designating this as a Military watch but am uncertain of it's authenticity mostly due to my own ignorance of MIL SPEC watches. There are too many people on eBay mocking these up and passing them off as old and or original.

Taylor, please understand that I don't want to rain on your parade but I am just not sure on this one.

I was looking for a 'Military Style'/Military-ish type watch. No provenance came with it when I bought it, so no tears here to find it wasn't an issue piece.

Bulova 10AK "ORD. DEPT.".

Totally genuine, just the sub seconds hand looks later.

Not 10BNCH, but 10AK.

Several  examples in the DB under "military issue".

Recased examples post-1952 may have earlier movements, but will have 'ORD. CORPS.' on the case back, as the name changed in that year.

Everyone happy with this being added as a Bulova Military Issue, with noted differences?
