Well I did initially think too, but not steel as metal
Wikipedia defines the difference all three name resolution - white metal is not steel, but I would not want to make it a scientific work, I'm just trying to achieve some result :)

If the choices are Bruce "B" or Cadet "B", then this watch must be the Bruce "B" in this configuration and year.
