Watch Description

Welp... don't ask me to show you a picture of the movement because the only way to get it out is to take off the front crystal and remove the stem. A.  I'm nortorious for cracking/breaking crystals when I take them off the front. B.  I've never been able to detatch on of those two part stems from the front.  Ever... ... ever.  Haha... so... the 23 Jewel Model number is copied from other examples of this watch  Everything else is original (dial, hands, case) that I'm sure the movement is fine. According to the ad we have it look as though we've got the President "F".  Of those 1960 President this is my second favorite only behind the triangle watch. This on has the unusual asymentrical back case.

1961 price guide I think helps explain the story. The advert above seems incorrect showing the "F" variant as $89.50

I'm in for tentative President "OW" as the band may be a telling factor.

So that's the question now isn't it.  The watch obviously doesn't have the band that the OW shows.  It counld in fact be one of the other 50 variants there.

So do we call it a generic "President" then?

That mat service shows the President "OW' as the only variant. Some of the others had black dials/different metal cases,  but yours only comes like that.

Unless you have the Beau Brummel version of it...  :-)

By the way, that's one of the best examples I've seen of that model, and there's only been a handful seen.

It's on the way to Austrailia!  Alas... not to Steve though.  Though to a new happy owner!

I have another on the way... we'll see how that one is.

Price variations are common when comparing ads from different dealers. With a model with as many variants as this one, and what appears to be a possible mis-labelling, I would be content with generic president, but my vote is also OW, based on the ad in the link.
