I have found a linebook reference listing the watch as a 1968 Bulova Accutron "233". (silver radial brush dial)

1968 Bulova Accutron 233 is a good match.

I definitely see the similarities. Why in the world would they put 214 on the inside of a completely different model. Did the components for both match?

214 is the movement model. 233 is the Accutron watch model. They are 2 different things. 214 movement watches are easily recognisable by the lack of a crown at either the 3 or 4 o'clock position.
