Hi Guy's and Gal's
I dont know if this is allowed, but I need to ask.
My good friend Jeff lemon was recently told he had a couple weeks to live as they found stage 4 cancer of the esophigus and 3 tumers in his brain. He was told to go home and make arangements as they could not do anything for him. He was a watch nut like all of us and he had a nice little collection of vintages watches, mostly Bulova's.
He called me a few weeks ago and asked me if I could sell his watches and send the money to his Mother so she could burry him, and of course I told him yes. He sent me his watches last week and I have been making up watch auctions on the bay to help him out and I was hopeing to get them done before he past , to give him a peace of mind in his last day's , but he past last nite before I got them listed. ( he was 52 years old)
Well, I spent all day finishing my work making the auctions today and got them posted. Since there is alot of Bulova watches, I thought I could ask that you look at them and maybe give him a bid to help with the cost of his burrial. I want to note, that I'm personaly NOT making a dime off these auctions, and I will send every cent to his Mom like he asked.
I would hope that anyone of you could get a good deal on a nice peice, or even a project.
This is not about me at all, It's about finely trying to help one of our own.
If this post is at all out of line, Please delete it, If it's ok, please look over the auctions. Thanks Mike..
Hello people!
I would like to thank you all for your help and support in Jeff's auctions. I think it was a huge success! I believe that I will be able to send her around $5000.00 ! Thats increadible!
I talked with her tonite and she said that would about cover the cost and she could not thank me enough, but I told her I could not have done it without my internet friends, as it found it's way to the NAWCC message boards, and numerious sites, so Thanks from Jeff's Mom and me! We need good people in this world like you guy's! and gal's, and a special thanks to MyBulova for helping out with this post.
