Lug to lug 37.2mm - width 32mm not including the crown. Very nice watch. The dial looks new and the pictures really don't do it justice.
In My experience is the Whale is sporatic, sometimes You see it
and sometimes Ya don't
In neither Case does the Whale signify a 'SEA KING' the Whale signifies a Waterproof Watch (produced at Bulovas' Sag Harbour facility?) and is also found on the 'PRESIDENT's, 'CLIPPER's ect.
I looked twice, I just don't see anything that matches this one. A lot of 'really close' but no winner. I'm going with Unknown for now as well.
Regarding waterproof and the whale, 1967 was ( I think ) the last year watch manufacturers were allowed to use the word 'waterproof' on watches sold in the US. I've never validated it but my theory has been that the whale made it's first appearance post 1967.
I believe We're seeing the Watch in this Dec 1967 ad: http://www.mybulova.com/sites/default/files/uploaded_photos/user5424/12-6-67MilwaukeeJournal.jpg
(C) 'SEA KING'
The Caseback of the subject states Gold electroplate, which is measured in microns.
I'm good w/ Sea King. Whale is sometimes there, sometimes not there. Surf King is a possibility. I'm also noting the Swiss to USA import BXW code on balance cock. I'll check the date range for the 11ALC. Did the Sea King/Surf King line use Swiss imported movements?

I'm not seeing 11ALC in our movement database. Checking the good Dr's site now.
