This may be a first for the database ... a Sweeping Center Seconds 1935? Trident (Based on movement date symbol).

In reply to Please confirm Bulova… by Geoff Baker
Absolutely. It says Bulova, with a shield symbol next to it. This is interesting to me, because the shield is 1931 on the movements... but another 1935 Trident in the database has the same shield marking, and Bulova is stamped more centered instead of off to the left like mine. Thanks for making me look deeper into this. I was told these sweeping seconds versions were marketed towards Doctors and Nurses. I appreciate your comments ---

We have discussed the outer "shield mark" previously and have concluded that Bulova preceded by or followed by a shield on the case back outside is a "maker's mark" for Bulova American Standard, rather than a date code. Shield is the "American Standard Watch Case Co." mark.

In reply to With the sweep second hand… by Kathy L.
From my research I figured they were marketed to nurses and doctors ... what I didn't realize until you posted that ad , is that the sweeping seconds was new for 1935. Very cool! This is one of my most accurate watches ... gains 7 seconds in 24 hours. Not too shabby for not being serviced in awhile. Thanks Kathy!
We have previously ID'd this model of watch as a Nurses watch like this one. https://www.mybulova.com/watches/1935-nurse-6124
