This watch was part of my mother-in-law's estate (she passed in 2012 at age 89); we assume that this watch may have been her father's, as it looks to be a 1920s-1930s design (based on the shape of the hour/minutes/seconds numbers. Any identification help would be very much appreciated.
Hello jwaf001, welcome to myBulova. We call this model the Jump Hour. Not being sure how you arrived at a 1929 year I would suggest that is more likely a 1932 model, based on the serial number of the case, I don't think Bulova made this model before 1932. Thanks for sharing it, it's a wonderful heirloom!

Geoff, thank you for the information! I picked 1929 out of the air based on the little light that my mother-in-law could shed on it while she was still alive. I had looked through the Bulova adverts that are available on thuds website but was unable to find a match or simiar to it, But, I very much appreciate having the model name so that I can do further research/reading on it. I wonder, as well, if there are any watchmakers who might be able to restore it to working condition, Again, thanks! John
