Just a follow up having now opened the watch . The watch is a Conqueror with a 10AN movement number 407311 and a crescent date mark for 1928. Patented case 1927 and case number 8157228 , was hoping it might be a Trojan but note that the engraving on the Conquerer is continous around the front of the watch whereas the Trojan engraving stops at the corners.
