...perhaps a "sympathetic service" at some point in time....w/ owners preference based on what was around and would fit the case/mvnt.
Nice watch.  Great case.  A beauty...but perhaps non-conforming.

I looked at Lisa's Rubaiyat models, there is one with exactly the same dial as this one, the others appeared to be of the "single sunk" variety, with the central ring or even engraved.

I know these are sterling silver dials, with the numbers and letters baked on. I came across the statement below in this publication; http://newspaperarchive.com/us/new-mexico/roswell/roswell-daily-record/…

"BULOVA DIALS Are made of Sterling platinum finish The numerals are baked hard enamel The dials can be cleaned and polished and numerals will not wash off Bulova (dials) will always retain their finish."

I will look and see if I can actually get the original statement in donloaded picture form, can't do so at the moment.

Sept 15, 1925 ad snippet from the Roswell Dail Record.

So I wonder if "Watch Talk" is a series of ads placed by Huff's Jewelry Store?  Sounds like it.
