Hi Folks,
My name is Bill Rogerson from Lake Wales, Florida. I am an avid watch collector and amateur watch repairman.
My focus so far has been on antique pocket watch movements but I've had a desire to branch out and expand my collection to include a few wristwatches. My wife gave me a Bulova wristwatch that was left to her when her Dad passed away. While researching the watch, I came across mybulova.com. Thanks to your web site and Geoff Baker's great photos, I was able to identify the watch as a 1972 Sea King "GK".
I have spent the last week reviewing information presented on the site. I'm very impressed.
I have decided to begin adding other vintage Bulova watches to my collection with the goal of restoring them, as best I can, to their original condition.
I guess my love of watches comes naturally since my hometown is Waltham, MA and my Dad worked for the Waltham Watch Co. for 32 years. He also worked a brief time for Elgin and The Chelsea Clock Co.
I am looking forward to utilizing the resources available at mybulova.com while pursuing my restoration projects. I will upload photos of my watches to the " Add a Watch" page. Help with watch identification will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Mybulova Mr. Rogerson. So you have decided to collect a few wrist watches. That is so funny. That's what my intentions were about 5000 ago and still counting. I have finally been able to control my addiction to mainly Bulovas now. But there's always that model that I don't have, or I can't let this one get away at this price, I paid double that for the one I have and I want the band on that one for the x-x-x-x model that I already have. Or I'm going to have to buy this one to get that one screw that I need for one that I can't find anywhere. But on a positive note, they are getting more expensive and harder to find everyday. IMO it's a good investment.
