I need help identifying this watch and its potential value. I can't even find a picture of it online or a reference to the serial number. Can anyone help? It's 14KT gold as well and works fine. ~Patrick
I had to shrink the pix down a lot just to get them to upload. I can send more pix to anyone who wants more. It is for sale I guess. It's all yellow gold 14 KT, the band has gemco written on it. I can't find any reference to the serial number starting with a 'C'. I don't know what the movement is because I can't open the back, I don't the right tools. Shud I just have it serviced and keep it or does this have some real value?

Will need to see a bit more of the case, but I think we may have a Bulova 23 'D'.
The pricelists only show model# 31306 with the 'DW' variant; there is no 'D' listed at the $150 price, though we do not have lists from 1959 or 60 where this D may have been listed. Many other 23 series watches switched to a two letter variant adding the W around the end of the 1950s. If the subject watch case is a match to the ads, then I would go with Bulova 23 'D' to match the earlier 1959 ad.
Also, there is a $71.50 variant 'D' listed, as seen here. And, the 'DW' was listed at two different prices, $59.50 (1961 and 1964) and $150.

It does look just like the 1959 model in the picture but the date code is clear on the back as an L8 but yeah that sure looks like it. $150 back then was a bunch of money, I wonder what this is worth. Any idea on the serial number? I cant find anything to do with one starting with 'C'.
Thanks, Patrick
