1947 (movement dated) Bulova unknown, 21J 10AK movement with a '47 date stamp, 10K White Gold filled bezel and case with no date stamp, Charcoal dial with Silver applied numbers & Silver hands, Kreisler Quality .025 Gold content mesh butterfly clasp band. I am unsure what this is, a Excellency would be my first guess, but Princeton also comes to mind...It could have the dial refinished, and if I would have had a set of hands, I would have replaced them. Is it a model, or is it a Non-conforming?
**Update Supporting ad dated 1948
In reply to Oooooo I like the band. Are by JP
No JP, the numbers are a dull Silver applied type, I think they were much brighter, but age has done them in...I think its a Excellency model, but can't find a ad with the White Gold version listed. The panel vote will determine if I get the dial redone, or it may find a new home on the bay...
"PRINCETON" in 1946
"HIS EXCELLENCY" in 1947

In reply to '49 HE, based on case serial by DarHin
After 1946, dating these by case serial # gets kind of foggy...at least that is what I find on the watches I own...some have a case date stamp, some don't, some serials match the movement date, but most don't...some even start with a letter between 1946-49, so I am not sure other than the movement date on this one.
Do we have a White Gold Excellency with this case yet? I don't see one in the ads or watch database.
I think the latter applies Darren, at least on the 46-49 watches that I have...Found a supporting ad with this dial...sort of, it has all the numbers unlike some of the other ads with numbers & markers, posted in the record.
Excellency AA, also available in White & Pink...just like the other ads, and the Princeton.
Princeton "C" was the white gold version. Part of the 'Excellency group, but its unsure when this officially changed over to a "His Excellency"
The watch in question is dated 1947.
So either generic Princeton or generic His Exelency works for me. I don't think we need to get too tied up in this....again.
