Original owner, purchased in 1966, Bulova Accutron Railroad Approved, Model # 202, 10 kt Gold Stainless Steel Back.
Hands: Black Spade & Dart with Red Sweep Second Hand
Not working. Returned to authorized Bulova repair, but they declined to service, since parts are no longer available. It appeared that the gasket was damaged and movement had rust.
I thought I had added this one years ago, but obviously not.
This is a very clean Accutron RR model from 1976. It runs quite well but eats batteries as they tend to do. There was some talk a couple years ago about Bulova making the Index Wheels for these again, and even some rumours they were going to make the movement again, but as far as I know, this has not happened. There are few Index wheels out there and when they are gone, they are gone.
I see them being sold out of packaging on eBay, and this is not good. Simply touching the wheel with tweezers will destroy it.
Anyway, I don't think the expansion band is original, but it might be, it is a Spiedel.

I picked up this 10 karat gold filled Bulova Acutron railroad approved watch this weekend from a watch jar from a thrift store. I don’t have any tools to open the back with me but assume it’s a 214 movement . It is a yellow gold filled case with a white dial, black hour markers and a gold Accutron second hand. The dial is marked Bulova Acutron Railroad Approved. I need to go out and get a battery to see if she runs. It is on a vintage Bulova genuine leather strap with a embossed Bulova clasp.
