If we decide on a name other than SoM or DD we must update the others......however the subject watch is not PICTURED in the ad referenced above. No indication of Clipper.

..other than the Dials and Watch functions are identical.

yea Mark, but we could say that about a lot of watches with differnet model names.  I'm in for using the existing catch-all for now.

I'm torn....it certainly could be from the Clipper series as everything is a match except the case...but we see that they certainly came in a number of different varieties.

So we could go with a tentative Clipper or an unknown. Looking at all the other S-O-M in the database they all share the same common features including the same (or very similar hands) and they could happily fit within the Cliiper series as the three examples share the exact same features. The variant is going to be the case design.

I'm leaning towards Clipper (tentative)

Geoff, I agree the others would need to be updated to reflect this decision.

Clipper it will be (from me) when at first an ad I see (said gb),

so far I haven't.

It's not Keats, more Seuss, but I like it!

Leave them at Set-O-Matic, until ads are found.

I think Set-O-Matic is functioning as a catch-all for this (and other models) for the time being.

Interesting that there's no votes for unknown.  IMO the odds of it beging named a Clipper are greater than the odds of it being named a Set-O-Matic, and it's arguabley unknow what it's model name may turn out to be :)

I vote for unknown, set-o-matic and Dual day are features and the hang tag shown on Geoff's watch is not a model hang tag, but as Mark said, more of a feature tag.

It could be a Clipper model, but it also could be something else...

as Greg points out the hang tag displayed in the thread is a Watch feature tag, not a Model tag.

If not a 'CLIIPPER' then

'UNKNOWN'
