Watch Description

Here is a real interesting and super attractive watch I just got off the bay.  It was sold as a ladies silver plated but the 16MM bracelet led me to believe this was a mens watch albeit slightly smaller than the watches of the day.  I also could also see the Swiss hallmark for 925.  I jumped on the BIN price for under $20 including shipping.  The case is a heavy two piece construction with 4 screws and has rounded edges corners with no visible date codes.   It has a beautiful black dial with exploding Roman numeral markers in white with white tipped hands.   The movement is a 17J 6CL2 with an N6 date code.  The inside case back is marked BULOVA 7317 SWISS 0.925.  It has the original BULOVA marked crown.  I checked all of the ads and line books and can't seem to find the model anywhere.  Possibly an international model.

Man, this is an interesting one. Case, face and movement marked "Swiss" and s/n starts with a number followed by a dash. No import code on movement. I agree it's likely an International model for the non-US market. Only one I have ever seen with 4 screws in the back.

The only watches even close in the short ads or linebooks that I found are Accutrons and the lugs don't match. I'm currently at a loss.

Unknown for me.

One thing I do know is that if I had found it before you did, it would be mine :o) Nice buy!

The silver content alone has to be worth something..

Hit the same brick wall with an ID.

I do really like the look of it though with that matching band....great buy!

I really like to ID this beauty, but still coming up empty.

Jim, we're basing the year on the movement correct?

Yes.  I could not find a date code on the case.  Just the movement.  Very unusual watch for sure.   The case is machined out of a block of silver and is quite heavy.  Most likely an International model.

Interesting watch, not sure I've seen anything like it. 1976 Bulova Unknown
