N6 2181 movement uncleaned as yet. Dial/case/crown are signed. 34mm case. I bought this watch, not for its history, but for the lovely linen dial & crystal condition. Upon inspection inside its back cover (with retaining screwdown ring,) I found something unexpected... tuning forks! I am not a horologist, or really even a horofan, except for hunter and verge fusée pocket watches; but those little forks resonated with me. I love this little timepiece! I am so excited to dig into this puppy.

I just interrupted a buddy of mine (rearranging his watch display case chronologically this time, as opposed to alphabetically,) who confirmed he has an Oyster Perp - not with "T S," - but with "T SWISS T" under his 6:00, so I examined my recent acquisition of an N9 Accutron quartz <sorry to muddy the 218 waters here> which also has "T SWISS T" under 6:00. I perused the SEARCH/ACCUTRON MODELS/1978/QUARTZ models on this site & discovered my N9 is almost identical to #6 in that searched list of N8 pictures, which also carries that moniker under 6:00. Hmmm.
Bud states he has been informed that label indicates a dollop of Tritium less than 227 MBq emission on his indices/hands (when built.) However, like his, mine now only lume 2 seconds on the Ag indices (as does my N6,) undoubtedly due to the 12 year half life of that particular application of ³H, which expired during the Traveling Wilburys Era.
