You need more, better focused pics of the front, back and movement. Also, a date code on the case back and movement consisting of a letter followed by a number - Ex. "P2". I know you listed the year as 1974 but other examples seen have been from the '80s. The case style is referred to as a "Stadium" case (not the model name) and has been seen here before.

Thank you so much for your reply. I will try to get some better pics. The 'stadium' description is so apt. I received this as a High School graduation gift in 1976, so a 1980's date would not seem to fit. I may have the receipt somewhere. It was a real expensive gift for me at the time. But, I loved the shape and the flat face crystal. It needs to be serviced and am hoping to have that done in Hawaii this summer.

Great looking watch. We would really benefit from some more closer photos of the front and back and if possible the movement.

Thank you for your comment. I loved it the first time I saw its face. I have a small wrist so it's proportions were good for me. I will try to get some more pics. I am a bit nervous to take the back off...for fear of doing any damage.

Is it a manual wind or battery operated.

If its battery operated then its an Accutron Date & Day

It is manually powered. It also was supposed to self-wind from just movement on the wrist.

Bizet, what is printed below Bulova on the dial? Also, it appears to say "Selfwinding" above the 6. Thanks

Hi Dar. Under the Bulova it says set-o-matic. Below it says automatic. The serial number on the back is 931907. N4 is below that in the back.

N4 = 1974 model, Set-O-Matic is the series, jewel count will help narrow down a possible name.

Thanks, Old Ticker. How do you know how many jewels it has?
