This is my wife’s grandfathers watch and I would like to restore it. Any assistance would be much appreciated.
Hello MEB, welcome to myBulova. It's exciting to have such a wonderful keepsake from your wife's grandfather. Over the next couple days we'll do some research to see if we can determine the model name of your watch. Regarding restoration, it's tricky. The case itself seems to have a fair amount of corrosion and pitting. It is unlikely that damage can be reversed. It is possible that a qualified watchmaker can service the watch and bring it to operating condition. That person could also give advice as to whether or not the case is in good enough condition to have a strap or band put on securely so that it could be worn or maybe just displayed.
