Watch Description

I have fallen in love with this watch. It belonged to my wife’s Uncle who died in 1983 and we think he may have been given it as a retirement present from Ford  Motor Company in Dagenham, Essex, UK Around the mid 70s.  Not sure if it’s gold plated or solid but it looks almost new with its original strap and perfect case. Here’s the remarkable thing. Its been in a drawer for at least 40 years and never used. We found it a box of belongings so I wound it up and to my surprise it started. Not only that but I wind it everyday and for 4 days it’s kept perfect time as far as I can judge. The second hand sweeps like a Rolex which also surprised me. It’s gorgeous and not concerned over value as it’s not much but can’t find much about this Longchamp model. I will take it to be cleaned. Also cant figure how to take the back off. Is it a screw fit ?

Slight invisible scratch on glass but otherwise perfect
Strap is actually spotless and original

Here's a twin to your watch, we have several in our dB. We refer to this model as just Bulova Longchamp. I'm sorry, I cannot tell you how to open the case but suggest you have a professional watchmaker do it.

Obrigado, Geoff Baker por referir o meu exemplar Bulova Longchamp. Noto, no entanto, que o exemplar agora apresentado tem os ponteiros das horas e dos minutos luminosos. Quais seriam os originais?

Thanks folks

i love the simplicity of this watch and the fact that it just worked after 40 years in a draw. It created an interest in modern Bulova watches as well

I will of course take it to a watch repairer for a once over
