I picked up a lot of two (2) Jet Stars off of ebay in a lot of 4 watches. A 1972 and a 1973. The 73 has a bad dial. These tend to flake. Both had original bracelets. Out of both I was able to assemble one.
This is a 1972 Bulova Jet Star "E". It is a massive hunk of stainless steel with a brushed bezel and polished side. The dial is a brown gray gradient color that fades dark to light from the top down. It is also slightly textured. The movement is an 11BSACB 17J with an N2 date code and is a real pain to work in. By far the most difficult Bulova I have worked on. The movement is set in this massive steel case ring that is quite heavy. (FYI..the 1973 has a plastic one so they must have changed to lower cost). The case back is laser etched with the serial number and N2 date code on the bottom. Not stamped on the top like the 1973 and very light. Has the original bracelet and I was able to make part one to extend the bracelet to fit my wrist. If anyone needs parts let me know or if you have a good dial would like to restore the 73. It has some keyless issues that I need to resolve but is otherwise running and in good condition but the dial.
