Interesting watch, thanks for sharing. I find one in the database with a white face identified as "unknown". My initial thought is that this is an International model sold outside the US. https://mybulova.com/watches/1971-unknown-11746

1971 Unknown for now.

Thank you for your link. Its the same case for sure, I haven't seen many shaped like that, also with the same writing, just with no date feature or Bulova crest. I also saw another in the 'unknown' section believe it was 1969 with a deep blue face, same writing no date feature, but a different case.  Currently the date counter is accurate 12 times per year...

Agreed, there is something about the hands on this watch that don't line up with the normal styles we see during this era on Bulova watches. Still we now have 2 examples. Suggest we stick with IDing as the other example...Unknown.

thanks for your comment.  comparing the two watches side by side (burgundy face and white face), the hands are the same, interesting the difference in colouring, gold and gray, vs. white and burgundy.  the hour pointers seem the same, but optically they do look different! the white pointers seem shorter and wider than the gold.

Will make an effort to open the watch at some point to photograph the movement.  would the hands have been supplied by the Swiss manufacturer of the movement instead of the usual Bulova selection of hands?
