Hi Stephen, welcome back. I think this is a match to your Accutron:

Accutron 259, nice looking piece.

Good to be back. This was another watch of my father's I recently ran across. It will probably be my last, unless something unexpected pops up. I love the ad that was found. Thanks! Right now it has the Speidel stretch my father used but I’m always curious how they were sold originally. I will probably replace the band. One question, how good were these watches at timekeeping? I took it to a local watch shop and simply had a new battery put in. He looked at it and said all looked well, but we didn’t do any in-depth looking or cleaning. He put the battery in and it fired right up. But, it seems to not be keeping great time. That said, it has only been about a week. Thoughts? Thanks again guys.

When cleaned and calibrated, this things keep super accurate time usually.  One of our members can service them, Timemachines, and I send all my Accutrons to him.  Going to be sending him 2 more soon I think.

Thanks. He has done work for me in the past as well. He would be my go-to guy again....I just didn't know if I needed to go-to anybody. I'll track how it does for a while longer then contact him if necessary.
