Man, that is a real beauty. Thanks for sharing with us. I've been back to this one several times and can't find a match. The serial number starts with a number followed by a dash, which seems to indicate the watch was produced outside the US. This will likely make it difficult for us to ID. I find one 1972 US ad showing this casing with a different dial ID'ed as Accutron "261".

At this point, I'm not suggesting that is the model, but it is close. Knowing the movement model number would help. Yours may be a European adaptation of the 261, but also may be  a different name.

Your suggestion that the watch was produced outside the US is correct. On closer look I saw that on the dial is printed in very small capitals "SWISS". Which is a new puzzle for me. Were these accutrons produced in Switserland too?

Alas, after 30 minutes of searching through the site and the Accutron watches book, I also could not find a match to this model.

1971 Bulova Accutron it is.
