Watch Description

Passed down from my grandfather.  Still works!  Could use a cleaning, beat up on the outside, crystal is in rough shape, a little green patina inside the case but nothing a little cleaning, polishing and re-lubricating can't take care of.  I just don't know the actual model name and can't find anything online to identify it. The case reads "N0" which translates to 1970, so I don't know why the post reads "1969"

7 EDAD from the Buren 06. Still looking...

Very distinctive face; I went through the 60's and 70's short ads and hit one - Valor "A", but it doesn't have the date complication. At this point, I will put my money on it being a Banker or Date King variant  - still looking.

It does look like a Banker, but not an exact match that I've seen, none with the date.

I appreciate the help here.  It would be great to know what it is

Thinking Date King because of the calendar function, but it's a very rough guess. Could be a Banker variant also.

Here are the only ones close that I found except with subdial seconds and no date complication; but very similar.

I'm still leaning towards a Date King, but find no matches yet. Still unknown for me.

So close.

The Date King and the Valor both look like they have "pillow" shaped crystals.  Mine is defiitely square.  The hour markers don't match up and there seems to be a second hand on the Date King at 6:00.

The Banker "E" looks soooo close.  Looks like the ad shows a second hand at 6:00 and no date.  It also shows a crossed frame on the face that mine doesn't have.  But the shape is right on, and the bracelet looks identical to mine.  I'd definitely believe I have a different variant of the Banker.

Thanks for the help here!

My search of the ads has found no match; I'm going with Unknown model at this time.

Heirloom watches are simply the best. Congrats on having this wonderful keepsake from your grandfather. I've looked and really don't see a match either. Cherish it and wear it with pride. (Make sure you have a professional service it first though).

Unknown.

I think I found it.

The Los Angeles Times (Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California, United States of America) · 7 Dec 1970

1970 Edwardian "J". I believe this is a new name.  The only difference in the ad appears to be Self Wind instead of Automatic. Hour markers, silver dial , mesh bracelet and date are a match.

This appears to be an exact match down to the Automatic on the dial.
