Based on s/n starting with "3 - " I'm inclined to think this is a model produced in Europe. I really like the red highlights on dial and seconds hand; makes it very distinctive. It appears to be related to the watches shown in this early 70's Swiss ad. Unfortunately no names. There is a good possibility that the interior of the case back is marked "MLB" for the Swiss case maker Maeder-Leschot of Biel

Still looking at this point.

Hi, the left watch in the ad certainly looks like the same dial. Underneath it, the 2nd model mentioned (35 11 02) says "same model, plate", presumably a gold-coloured plate. Definitely likely to be European made; my dad bought it on the Isle of Wight, UK, for my 18th birthday in 1972. Thanks for the info.
