Watch Description

Firstly Hello from the UK .I bought this on a well known online auction about 12 years ago from a seller in the UK but it had no information apart from it was Bulova Dior so I took a risk because I liked it  and then put it away in a draw . It is in working condition . I am hoping it is gold but I cannot see any hallmarks and therefore a bit concerned it may be a copy . The pattern on the bag matches the pattern on the front of the watch . I am presuming it is a press fit back but do not want to take the risk of damaging it trying to open if it isn`t . I cannot see a gap anywhere to fit in a case opener . From what I have read the Dior range was during the 70`s so that is why I have put 1970 as a date . I have contacted Hemsleys in Canada but they were unable to help . I have searched the internet including this site but have not found anything the same . I hope you will be able to help me . Thank you .

Found this is in 1970-Mid_LineBook_BAWD0199 Pg 23.

Would ID as a Bulova Dior Pendant.

Also lists the movement as a 10EB, which case model number 7949.

That`s great news .  I have a couple of questions for you if you don`t mind .

Is there any information to say that it comes with the chain as I do not have that ?

I am presuming that it is a press fit back would that be correct ?

Thank you

Tony.

what a fine Bulova timepiece, the gold is probably rolled yellow gold 10K, you should bring it to a jeweler to open it, there certainly would be more information inside the base cover back surface and on the mechanism.

It would tell you how many jewels, and you might see some service repair info with dates, did you try winding it?

Thank you for sharing this. it's great.

Hello Lisa and thank you ,

It winds and runs very smoothly I`m glad to say and has a very quiet tick . We have a very good jewelers in our nearest town but unfortunately like many small shops they are closed due to Covid .

All the best

Tony.
