Wow nice one Wayne! I don't know what to look at first. The cool looking roman  numerals,  two tone hands, beautiful dial or that great looking band.

a seven jewel date king w/ sea king on the dial above the whale symbol. I don't remember if a sea king becomes a date king w/ the date complication.

'SEA KING'

The 'DATE KING's all appear to have Radium Dauphine style Hands. The 'SEA KING' is shown to have baton style, as showing on the subject.

 

....one other clue is the subject states 'SEA KING' on the Dial.

7 jewels? I have never come across a 7j automatic.

Have updated to 17J and re-ID'd as a Sea King "DV".

Date Kings seem to be dated pre 1969. Sea King in this design seems to then take over.

Spot the difference. Date King is only listed as being 'Water Proof" where-as the Sea King is listed as "Water Resistant"

Also found this, which seems to match the hands and mesh band. 23 Jewel model.

The subject watch had 7 Jewels originally listed but as Wayne is no longer an active member of the site we may never know what is hidden under the bonnet of this watch. It's more liekly to be 17 Jewels as common practice was to place '23 Jewels' on the dial.

Interestingly the 'TIME CENTER' appears to be a Date Watch (both Automatic and Manually wound) with a Calendar strap.

The strap being the determining factor in the Model line.
