Watch Description

Round face, squared case (tonneau?). Main body gold plated 20 microns - MLB watermark inside back cover. case #847-1 - 4x service codes scratched inside back cover, also stamped 14 - datemarked N0 - 1970 on inside case and movement - 11ANACD movement, rotor missing weighted edge I think - calendar date, no weekdays days/months. accutron tuning fork logo at 12 oclock with "Bulova" underneath. - Original? brown leather strap - Found it at the tip shop so no known history besides service marks. Have found similar models in the clipper and ambassador, but none with both similar faces and winder positions. Interested to know whether it is rare, worth keeping, worth fixing (not currently working, suspect broken mainspring, plus broken autowinder), or just worth scrap/parts value. Located in Australia if that makes a difference... so far all my research has led me to UK examples and parts.

Thanks in advance!

I think you are correct that the rotor is missing the outer component.

I could not find a match in our ads, and it feels like the characteristics would be in line with a non-USA model.

I am going with Unknown or International model at this time.

Wow - this one's had a hard life. Given the condition of the case I'm not sure the time and expense to restore would be well spent. It also appears that there is perhaps a bezel missing. The ring around the dial looks like it should have something attached.

I'm going with 1970 Bulova Unknown

I know I have seen this case before but can't find a match.  I will have to go with Unknown

What does intrigue me is the Accuttron logo,  I cannot see BULOVA on the dial.

I'd like others to confirm, but in 1970 any reference to the Accutron name or symbol on a dial was only on actual Accutron watches.

Does the dial have BULOVA oin it at all?

It definitely *did* have Bulova on it in the top half of the dial - you can see very faintly just above the minute hand where the B remains - the other letters have fallen off and are scattered around inside the casing.

I've come back to this one multiple times, sorry. My personal opinion is it's a little too far gone to save.
