Watch Description

I picked this up last year at an estate sale and haven't done anything with it.  It tries to run for maybe twenty seconds and then stops.  I can set the time but not the date and, when fully in, the crown doesn't turn.  This Oceanographer has a 10K bezel and the original bracelet.  One end link is missing.  If you are interested in a project watch, make me an offer.  Thanks.

Swedged? That's an odd description. It means hammered into shape.

In the HVAC trade swedging is to enlarge the opening in a piece of copper or aluminum tube slightly by driving a "swage" into it thereby enabling the tradesman to insert a same size piece of tubing into another without using a coupling. The swedged piece will have a shape similar to the markers on the dial, that is, slightly larger on one end.
