Watch Description

This is what I believe is a 1969 Oceanographer "B" with stainless case and slate grey dial.   The case back is marked M9 and is quite scratched.   THe movement is a 11BLACD and is marked M9 also.  Inside the case back is embossed "W. GERMANY" with a stamp of "N2892".  I was told the fluted bezel is 10KT white gold but do not see this as advertised in the ads so probably unlikely.  I really love this watch.  Fits better than my Rolex and the beveled crystal adds a great dimension to the watch face.  Ocassionally stops so I will be sending this one in for service.  I don't to kill the hairspring on this one as I have done on soooo many bulovas lately.

...and now you even know what the original band looks like  :-)

Just think for an extra $10 the original owner could have had the "G" model.

Late to the party.

Case model is N2892, crown stock is 74Y

N2893 is 74W.

Is the subject watch yellow or white gold? Looks white but the case number N2892 is listed as yellow.

Stephen,  I just saw you post.  This is a stainless case.  It looks like the case back was either printed in error or replaced at some point.  If I recall this came from that big lot of watchmaker watches I got at the NAWCC regional show.  No telling.

Have you had the restoration completed?  If so, did you like the result and may I ask for whom you used?  I inherited the exact model and would like to get it to optimum working condition.

Thanks
