Another eBay watch. Not so lucky on this one, definitely needs to be serviced. Won't run for more than a couple minutes at a time. Rotor is loose and noisy. Hey, you can't always get lucky, right?It's not in terrible shape though, I've seen worse.

I believe it to be a Golden Clipper "A" variant. 17 jewel 11ANAC movement. Stainless steel hexagonal case. It came with an expansion band when I purchased it, but I've since switched it to an alligator grain that looks similar to the one in the original advert. I'm a bit surprised this watch didn't come with a metal band when new. I love the look of the crosshair dial with the whale logo and the bright red seconds hand that really makes it stand out. Should be a really nice watch once it's running properly.

I think you are right, Golden Clipper 'A' looks to be correct. This case was a popular one, as it also came in yellow and had a few dial color options. Nice example.
