Watch Description

A lady's gold Bulova watch that I have been unable to identify through any channels (including the official Bulova site), despite extensive searching. I purchased it brand new in 1968. I have been unable to find any information about its composition etc. The watch is manual. Unclasped, the watch is 19.5 cms.

Black markings for numerals.
The clasp.
Bulova. Case number 2-295704

Hi Felicity, I don't see anything in our advert database that matches your watch. I'll keep looking........

It does seem to match the Goddess of Time AQ but is missing the 12 on the dial and a different style bracelet.  So close

Cool watch! This one may be a tough one to ID. We have pretty much determined that watches with a s/n that starts "1 - " were most likely produced in Europe for the non-US/ International market. We have very little advertising related to non-US production in the archive, so it's difficult. Still looking, but currently at Unknown.

Thank you for your help. I understand now why it was so frustrating for me to find any information about the watch. I do appreciate everyone's support.

Very cool that you are the original owner!  It is very close the Goddess of Time "AQ" and as Bob said might be an international model.  So far I haven't found an exact match.

Thank you for your reply. The watch was my first big purchase after I left school. I bought it at duty-free in Christchurch New Zealand before my first-ever overseas trip.

The above reference Etsy sales item seems the best indicator that the watch model is that of a Bulova Goddess of Time. There is no way to know for sure if this is correct as the model name is only indicated on the case the watch is presented in. This will give us something to go on for future searches, but for now without a confirming advert or linebook entry (which we still might find one), I agree with the notion of IDing as 'Unknown' for now.
