I would assume this is a gentleman's watch, although my mother as a nurse wore something similar in the 60's. But that may have been that the dial is easier to read. I do not know the date because I cannot figure it out from the charts given the case serial number I have and I am unskilled in opening the back. Although with guidance I am sure I could do that. I would love to find out the date, the model, and name. This is entirely new to me. This watch was inherited. The only watch I ever had was a Timex and I was eleven or twelve. I selected 1945 but I don't think that is the year. That is what I don't know
Hello Esteban, welcome to myBulova, congrats on a nice heirloom 1968 Bulova Sea King AK. Please understand that while the dial says "waterproof", your watch is not waterproof. As with all vintage timepieces, care should be taken around water. Your watch back does not come off, this watch is serviced by removing the crystal and I do not recommend you trying to open it. If you plan to wear the watch I suggest a professional service. Thanks for sharing it.
