Watch Description

Sea king AK?,  looks to be very similar to ncmounties except it has a raised Bulova sign, different style back, dial is a pearlescent pinky colour and markers are very slightly different. (did I say similar?! ) so doesn't quite match the line book example .  Also, case is marked on the inside M8 yet movement is N0. which is  keeping excellent time. Lume is really good.

Just noticed case bezel looks different too!

Nice classic looking mens watch.

I had a good long look through a number of Bulova linebooks, and whilst there are some similarities with the Sea King, I could not find a good match to the case, dial and hand combination to say for sure.

Based on not finding a match in ads or linebooks, as well as case markings configuration; I believe this is an international model produced and sold outside the US.

I have to go

1968 unknown for now.

I have it in my head that this case back in an indication of an international model, I'm just not certain. When I look the case number up in the catalog it is NOT marked as a non-USA model.

Based on the 1970 Line book BAWD0173 this is listed in the Sea King section model #13425-4Y.   Reviewing the other 1970 line book it is listed in the index but the page is missing from our file.  Based on this I am confident this is a Sea King unknown variant for now.

Jim - I'm not sure we've seen this case back on any US Sea King models to date. I'm OK ID'ing by Model # but not sure about Sea King?

Thanks for pondering over this one still! .   Am I right in thinking this style  of case back is common on watches intended for the European market as I have noticed a number on Ebay here in the UK with that style . Also wonder whether they were assembled here and that some of the watch names were not considered appropriate for the UK market (especially President and Senator !) and were left unnamed .  Just a thought.
