Good info Darren.

So to assist with the ID are we good with a generic Snorkel?

I'm not sure if I am Stephen, I don't think that "Snorkel" was a proper Bulova name at that time. I have some more looking to do. jmh - can we see close ups on the front and back of your watch please?

Geoff, the link above may show the watch in its original form. I only suggest the Snorkel because we have ID'd the Deep Sea and Oceanographer models bases on their dial names. Similar to the Accutron Deep Sea and Accutron Snorkel.

Still I'm not 100% so am happy for others to chime in. Geoff I would certainly trust your call on this as you out of most people have a good handle on this era.

jhm, can you list everything it says on the dial?  I can see the Bulova at top, and make out the 666 Feet at the bottom, but there's a couple more words I can't make out.  If you can either get us a picture of the outside/inside case back (or list what's stamped there) that will help.  How did you arrive at the 1960 date?  There should be a date code on the case back.  Thanks

Thanks   I'll update the date in the root record from 1960 to 1967.  We'll see it was updated by this comment.

Ah, 1967? well that does change my mind to "Snorkel", that is in the range Bulova advertised this watch with that name.  I was having a problem with it being a 1960 Snorkel.

Actually, its not even a watch, its only a case, dial, and band, the most important part is missing...and since we don't have a incomplete category, where do we put it for now until a movement can be sourced?
