1957 Waldman patent, non screw-down watch crown.  It is worth noting that the rating of 666 feet or 200 meters is a static measured one, like all ratings. There is no way this would be effective in actual practise at even 50m.  It is an accepted trade standard that 100 meters is surface swimming, but only with a screw down crown.

Hello Does 608 use the 386-3 Snorkel crown or the 342-W. I bought one from someone on eBay and it’s smaller also dedicated to another case number ? Any info would be appreciated .thanks
