I just really wanted to share this watch. It is a NOS 1967 Date King. It is boxed in the Bulova Excellence Collection. It looks to have never been worn. I bought this from an estate sale a few years back. It still had the $69.95 price sticker with the watch name and info. Thanks for looking!

"Excellence Collection" was printed on the some but not all of the outer boxes and octagonal clam shell presentation cases of the mid to late sixties. I'm not sure there was a collection of watches names Excellence. I've done a quick search of several of the line books and haven't had a hit. Typically ladies watches came in white cases and men's in blue.
Stunning looking Date King 'DA'.
As for the octagonal boxes; I had found that around 1967/68 they appear, shown in the March 1968 Annual Report with 'Excellency Collection', and in June 1967 there is a patent for these filed. I'm not sure when they phased out in the 70s.
