Watch Description

A truly exciting update on this watch (January 7, 2020). I just spoke to  a couple folks named Mary and Jim. Mary is the the granddaughter of the man this watch was inscribed and presented to,  Mr Gelling. She was researching her grandfather and came across myBulova and this watch record. Jim contacted Stephen who let me know they were interested in acquiring it. Tomorrow morning the United Stated Postal Service will pick it up for delivery to the home of Mary and Jim! What an amazing tale! So glad the watch is being reunited with the family after FIFTY years.  myBulova wins again!

NOS Bulova with a 10 K RGP bezel and a stainless back. Dial is marked "Waterproof" as shown.

Back is inscribed: "W. L. Gelling 50 Years Loyal Service Motion Pictures 1970". Seller did not know Mr Gelling and did not know circumstances surrounding the presentation of this watch. Gelling was an historical figure in US Civil Rights and the Motion Picture Industry. Read more at Wiki:
