Watch Description

Dear Panel,

thank you for taking a look. This watch belonged to my late aunt who got it in the 1960's. Unfortunately I know very little about watches so I really require your help. The case is marked Bulova and the no. 2 94903 and M6 (in the meantime I have gathered from your date codes that it means 1966). The clasp of the strap is marked Bulova and 750 and I think it says 18k, so I assume this is gold. Please let me know whether this is something  a collector would like or whether it has mainly sentimental value. My apologies for the poor photos, unfortunately I can't take any more pics right now since the watch is in another location and I came back home from there yesterday. Unfortunately I do not have the movement model, even if I had the watch with me I would not have the know-how to open it.

Your help is much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance

Kind regards

Emily

Welcome to myBulova!

This is a really nice ladies watch, 18k gold case and bracelet. The backwind movement is a bit unusual, this is the first ladies Bulova I have seen with it.  So far I am not seeing an ad for this, but still looking.

If you are planning to run the watch and use it, I strongly recommend a complete service from a qualified watchmaker.

Has sort of a 1970's feel to it. Can you confirm its N6 or M6 on the back case?

I'm researching the adverts now.

Hi, I can't look at the watch now since it's not with me but it is M6.

Many thanks for helping.

Hello Emily, it's a pretty little watch you have. My first thought was that it was 1970's but M6 is 1966. I cannot find an advert to match it in either decade so I will have to vote to an Unknown ID for now. Thanks for sharing it.
